From
a life of crime, failure and uncertainty I became a young man desperate for a
change with no idea of how this will be.
I explored various different avenues, including banking and graphic design, but these areas could not fill the gap that was lurking within.
Continuing to search, I encountered many things which changed the course of my life. The Rank Foundation and JUMP provided me with many opportunities in youth work such as school based work, international exchanges, mentoring and many more aspects in that field.
Taking part in such work has made me a totally different person who now has a desire to help and encourage young people from similar backgrounds as myself, as well as young people in general.
Different to many young people in my community. I now find that I challenge people's perspectives and stereotypes placed on young black males today and often surprise people with my attitude, passion and ability to work.
