The Openshaw Eden Project was launched in partnership with The Message Trust and The Salvation Army in August 2000 when a group of volunteers moved into the Toxteth Street Estate and began getting to know the area and people living in it. Today Eden has grown into an effective community project which serves residents through its diverse and varied community activities.

A Youth or Adult? Project 2006-2011

Openshaw Eden project is a faith motivated initiative. We are part of the Christian Church and believe that our responsibility as Christians is to help and serve individuals and communities, especially those who find it difficult to help themselves. Having said this, our projects and activities are open to people of any religious persuasion or of no faith at all.
The aims of the project are:
Socially
Physically
Intellectually
Creatively
Emotionally
Spiritually
To develop, maintain and resource a strong team of volunteers, living in the Higher Openshaw area and creating community.
