A Youth or Adult? Project 2007-2012

logo: yesu, sheringham

Yesu was established in 2002 as a project for the community of
Sheringham and the surrounding areas, providing a safe social
environment for all ages and offering advice on life issues.

Yesu is a place where people come and relax, have a drink and a chat, as
well as getting involved and receiving support through the numerous
groups and activities that take place throughout the week.

One of the largest groups that the Project provides is a service for the
young people. Yesu currently runs 5 youth drop in sessions during the
week, and these are held both in the project building and outside in the
community. They are aimed at improving the quality of life for young
people so that they can feel valued and know that there is a place they
can come for help and support.

Yesu runs a wide range of activities, and is able to provide specialist
advice on a range of issues.

Yesu provides: Coffee Bar, Comfortable Lounge Area, Pool Table,
Computer Games, Theme Evenings, Young Peoples Sessions, Sat Club, Mental Health Group, Schools Work, Achievement Group, Children’s Sessions, Tots Group.

The Yesu Help Shop provides: Drug & Alcohol support, Debt Help, Benefits
Help, CV Writing, Pregnancy Crisis, Careers Advice, Housing Support,
Counselling, Parenting Courses, Lifestlye Courses, Befrienders.
